Seeing Red

I don’t always plan my outfits starting from clothing first. Sometimes, it starts from a pair of shoes that I really want to wear, or a belt, ring, bag or a particular colour that I want to experiment with. Ok, I admit. It usually starts with my newest purchase. 😀 The neon yellow ring and snake skin belt with yellow accents are my most recent purchase and of course, I was dying to wear them. Yellow is not a usual colour that I go for, but I have been gravitating towards that colour a lot recently and I’m starting to play with that colour from small accents first. And what luck too, I picked for myself this red bag from Tocco Tenero recently only to find that yellow and red matches perfectly. Yay!
The boy and I made a pit-stop en route to dinner to shoot these pictures. We abandoned our initial plans to shoot at a particular building when we spotted this red vintage Volkswagen Beetle. Feeling rather lucky once more, I posed around it, keeping my fingers crossed that I won’t look like an ah lian sports car model. :p

Behind the Scenes

I’ve been going into the studio countless of times to shoot for Pink Flare and have never really documented what goes behind. Had a bit more time this last shoot and decided to snap around. So, here’s a peek!

Accessories are a definite must. Lots of them. (In the make-up/changing room)

And shoes. I streamlined for this shoot and only brought 4 essentials so I don’t have to lug so many things around.

Here are some of the clothes that we were shooting that day. I always get so excited going through the clothes and can’t wait to wear all of them.

Pleats, owl prints, leopard prints, drapes and folds…I really do love them all.

Mr Photographer hard at work.
We decided to do some jumping shots for the mailer cos’ this top I have on is just so bright and cheery. It’s really difficult to get a good shot with these jumps! Either my top flies up too high, the expression on my face looks too strange, or I’m just captured in a strange position.

Too low…
Weird position…

Yay!!! Finally got it!!

And this was the result from all those jumps. A super bright, happy and cheery mailer!

Here’s one of my favourite shots from the shoot. (I love this dress.)
Do come by www.pink-flare.com if you haven’t already. Lots of pretty pieces await you! 😉

I’m sure that most of you would have heard of the store ‘Hula & Co.’ already. They’ve got a store at 313 Somerset and they sell really gorgeous clothes at very budget-friendly prices. They’ve got an online store now and are bringing the same pretty clothes at the same purse-friendly prices right to your door-step. ($25 for 1 piece, 2nd piece at $15. How can you beat such a deal!!)

I did a shoot for their online store last week. Really happy to be able to model their clothes! Here are some pictures from the shoot:

Was tempted to buy almost every piece that I modeled. Haha. Anyway, you can find them online at: www.hulaandco.com
