最火搭挡:Unriddle

I have been living a different life the past few months. I shed (tried!) my girlishness and traded them for jeans, sneakers and jackets, complete with a pistol. ‘小妹’ (loosely translated as ‘little girl’) – that’s what they called me. I was a rookie CID trying my best along with the rest of my team to nab the toughest of criminals. It’s been a really fun ride and the people I worked with have been so lovely – always patient and ready to teach.
The shoot has now wrapped, and so calls the end of my adventure. It’s been an unforgettable four months, and I’m looking forward to the airing of the drama!

The stuntman is about to jump. Lots of mattresses for safety and protection going on there.

I had a strong sense of nostalgia filming at my school, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. I spent many afternoons there drawing, making jewellery and moulding pottery. Of course, NAFA is now housed in a spanking new building.

On the sky bridge at The Pinnacle@Duxton – Day/Night scenery. The night view is breath-taking.

Look at where the camera man has to be to get his shot!

Our very well-trained police dog – “小白”. His name is the exact opposite of how he looks!

Team “Charlie”.

This is one of the many fight scenes.

We found these two dog skeletons in the toilet of this building we were filming! This is Not a prop. 😦

Guess who’s giving the ‘Victory’ sign?

Clowning around on set.

Studio! ~ Our swanky looking police office.

The studio’s rest area where we spent lots of time waiting and chilling.

One Fine Thursday

First ups. I’m bouncing back to the drama scene after a rather long, well-rested hiatus. I’m looking forward to playing something that is not the very usual me. Something a little bit more energetic, upbeat and ‘athletic’. It’s time to seriously hit those runs and all! Had my imaging session done this Thursday morning and ran off to play the rest of the day. 🙂

This is a sneak preview of my erm, hair and face for this new show. Hahaha. Not very much to show I’m afraid… I didn’t snap any pictures during the fitting session!

Lunch at Canton-i with mummy and sister dearest. Love the interior of the place. It’s all pink and white. Pretty pretty, but the food is only satisfactory. 😦

My sister is all smarts. She’s a lecturer!

She got really excited seeing her name on a vitamin box.

I followed her around to various Osim shops as a ‘mystery shopper’. And I was sold by their ‘Usoffa petit’. I loveeee massages. I am so tempted to get this one in purple!!

Ran off to Vivo City after for a dash of steamboat dinner, movie and Daiso. I love shopping for random things at Daiso! The Japanese are so clever for their useless yet not little inventions.

I hate eating vegetables.
Caught the movie: Book of Eli. Most boring movie I’ve watched all year. (0 popcorn ratings from me.)

Domo!…snuggling up on my thigh. He does this a lot these days – rub his head on my legs so that I’ll ‘sayang’ him. Love him to bits. (I’ve probably said this too many times) 🙂
Anyways, it’s a brand new week ahead. Have a beautiful one everyone!

當我们同在一起 "Together"

Have you all been watching? Not being one who’s usually home on 9pm weeknights to catch drama serials, I have been making extra effort to tune in to this one. Set in the 1960s – 1990s, it is interesting to watch and understand the mindsets of the people then and of course the sets and costumes are an eye-opener. I’m starting to understand more of how my parents were when they were young and perhaps how my daddy wooed my mummy then. Heehee.
I’m lucky to have played a part in this serial, and my character “金珠” will be coming out soon. I really enjoyed playing this character, where life was simple, and all that mattered was “i like you, and you like me.”
Some pictures from behind-the-scenes to share! 🙂
Filmed in this biscuit store. Tins of all sorts of biscuits are stacked from floor to ceiling here. Really got me hungry everytime I was in there!
I got married. Complete with vintage gown and curly hair tendrils. I bumped into my manager Susie and fellow Kosmic Artiste Claire Jedrek in the make-up unit. First, they couldn’t recognise me, and then they couldn’t stop laughing. :p
I was a damsel in distress. I was glad to have had the chance to wear 古装! – Although, the 3 layers were definitely too much for hot sunny Singapore.

That’s Elvin, my hero (and the rest of the crew) looking very gallant.

We really don’t see these around anymore. And those hand-painted movie posters!!

Those movie first dates.

And above all, I was slashed. 😦

Tune in, every Monday – Friday, 9pm, Channel 8,
