For someone who hardly wears any jeans, pants, sneakers or flats, I’m strangely most drawn to pictures of people wearing the exacts that I don’t wear much of. These are just a couple of casual day looks that are top of my list now. My to-buy list now includes: Converse sneakers, Ray Ban aviators and cotton tees!

Seeing Red
I don’t always plan my outfits starting from clothing first. Sometimes, it starts from a pair of shoes that I really want to wear, or a belt, ring, bag or a particular colour that I want to experiment with. Ok, I admit. It usually starts with my newest purchase. 😀 The neon yellow ring and snake skin belt with yellow accents are my most recent purchase and of course, I was dying to wear them. Yellow is not a usual colour that I go for, but I have been gravitating towards that colour a lot recently and I’m starting to play with that colour from small accents first. And what luck too, I picked for myself this red bag from Tocco Tenero recently only to find that yellow and red matches perfectly. Yay!
The boy and I made a pit-stop en route to dinner to shoot these pictures. We abandoned our initial plans to shoot at a particular building when we spotted this red vintage Volkswagen Beetle. Feeling rather lucky once more, I posed around it, keeping my fingers crossed that I won’t look like an ah lian sports car model. :p

We Are Golden!

It’s been ages since the whole bunch of us met. Birthdays and festivities are always good reasons, so we took the chance and had brunch on Sunday at Graze Rochester to celebrate Joyce’s (the only other girl in the pictures) birthday. My eggs ben were delicious and the dessert platter was a super yummy way to end the meal. I was so happy that I got Joyce the Bimba & Lola skull ring that I got myself too. Green for her, and yellow for me. I knew that she’ll like it too the moment I saw it…my skull partner in crime. 🙂 Outfit of the day was this nude coloured peter pan collar dress (available on PF this Sunday), snake print wedges and my trusty Celine tote. I love that I have such wonderful friends!
Look Of The Day
I’m not one who wear jeans/pants much because I usually find the weather too hot and humid for it. Felt in the mood for them one cool evening though and dug out my hardly worn Rock & Republics. Paired it with one of my favourite tops of the moment – the Wild Rose from Pink Flare and had a scrumptious Japanese dinner outdoors at Nagae, Waterfront Plaza. 🙂

| Best apple cider ever! |
The boy and I were really excited that the Harry Potter exhibition was coming to town. We had thought about going on the 1st opening day, 2nd June as it was his birthday but finally decided against it as it was a Saturday and we’re the sort who are slightly afraid of crowds. We gave ourselves a day off on Thursday and headed to the Arts and Science Museum at MBS for the exhibition. We spent almost 2 wonderful hours marveling at the props, re-dishing story lines and wishing we were part of the Harry Potter World. Sadly, no photography is allowed in the exhibition. (The pictures of the exhibition in this post is mostly taken off the net.) We headed for Beer Fest after the exhibition (thanks for the tickets Louis!) and listened to an awesome ACDC girl cover band. It was also at the fest where I had the yummiest apple cider beer. Gotta start keeping a look out for Somersby’s apple ciders in the market! P/S Harry Potter fans will not want to miss this exhibition!
