I was first introduced to Tesco products about 5 years ago when I was in London for a holiday. They’re literally everywhere in the U.K., from convenience stores to supermarkets and standalone hypermarkets. If you’ve visited the U.K. before, you’d have most definitely visited and shopped there at least once. I remember trying some of their food then and really liking it. They’re good quality and very affordable. I was thrilled to find out that they’re now available in Singapore and stocked in most FairPrice Finest.
I went and got some of their products to make dinner for Jon and I one Saturday, and it was indeed as I remembered, the products did not disappoint. I got the Organic Wholewheat Spaghetti (can’t believe how affordable their organic range is!), Mushroom Pasta Sauce and some minced pork to make a tomato-based spaghetti dish, plus a can of Potato and Leek Soup to accompany the meal. All in all, it took me about half an hour to prep the meal and cook. It was so quick and easy – very awesome for a noob cook like me.
With Jon being a fussy eater, I was worried if he’d like the taste. Thank goodness, he took one bite and loved it immediately. We loved how good the mushroom sauce tasted and how hearty and rich the soup was – it almost didn’t taste like it came out of a can. Most of all, I loved how simple and effortless it was for me to prep this meal. It looks like I just might be cooking more often now!
My verdict after this meal? I’ll definitely be heading back to FairPrice Finest for more Tesco products.
You can find out more about their products at most FairPrice Finest stores or their Instagram (@tesco.sg) and Facebook page.
