|Matchy nails and outfit. Nails grow at an alarming rate…it’s time for manicure once again soon!

Got these mint coloured shorts at a steal from H&M a couple of days back and decided to wear them and take the dog, Domo to the groomer’s and run errands. Loving the clean palette I had on, I was glad to have worn light colours because it was so darn hot out. Was feeling slightly nervous about leaving Domo with a new groomer but am glad all turned out good when I picked him up. Love how spiffy and ’round’ he looks everytime he gets a hair cut! 🙂 Sneaked some burger bites in between and it was so good. Absolute comfort food, I love burgers and fries. Maybe I should have been born American!
Haven’t been feeling too hot about things lately, but I got this quote from the drama I’ve been watching, Sopranos and it’s definitely helping me along:
“Sometimes I go about in pity for myself, and all the while a great wind is bearing me across the sky.” – Ojibwa saying
Stay happy & positive people!
In an earlier blog post (here
), I wrote about having pastel dreams and having a major crush on pastel coloured outfits. So, I was most delighted when the pastel coloured shirt dresses I sent to make for my store a couple of months earlier arrived. What perfect timing! Named ‘Sugar Rush’, these shirt dresses come in an array of macaroon hues- powder pink, baby blue and lilac. Not being quite able to decide which is my favourite colour yet (i love them all!), I went for the powder pink first and wore it for a trip to the National Museum with the boy.
I took along my new bag from Tocco Tenero (I love the nude hue of the bag and the texture of the bag flap!) and before entering the museum, the boy whipped out his camera and we started taking some shots. So engrossed we were that guess what, the museum closed before we had a chance to step in! Such a complete ‘duh’ moment, it was hilarious.
For those who participated in the earlier Tocco Tenero bag giveaway, thank you! Big congratulations to the winner, Xue Qi!
What I really like about this bag, besides the design and colour, is the versatility and functionality of it. It can be carried with the short strap on your shoulder kinda like a hobo bag, or as an across-the-body bag with the longer strap. There are these pieces of straps that you can take out or add on depending on the length you want the strap to be. How awesome! I had quite a bit of fun playing around with them. I tried to take pictures of the various lengths and straps:
Name: ARIA shoulder bag
Material:Pebble grain cowhide trimmed with croc-embossed cowhide
I’ve been having pastel dreams of late. Pastel outfit dreams, to be exact. It’s probably all these Spring pastel trend images I’ve been looking at that is causing this subliminal influence. There’s something about pastel that is so dreamy, romantic and pretty. Although there is no seasonal change in Singapore, I still can’t wait to put together some Spring pastel outfits myself!
So for a start, to begin fulfilling my pastel dreams, I got these nude ‘Dolce Vita’ sandals, sand ‘Pedder Red’ wedges and picked this cream/nude bag from ‘Tocco Tenero’ (thank you TT!) These items aren’t exactly pastel coloured, but I figured nude and neutrals are good colours to start building the pastel empire!
First pastel outfit. The baby pink top is from H&M and the white lace shorts are from Pink Flare
Even reptiles are pretty pastel coloured!
