Never ending love affair with playsuits.

Here’s sharing one of my favourite outfits that I wore to #MBFWA in Sydney. I have a never ending love affair with playsuits and this gorgeous piece in powder blue was a love at first sight. How can you resist those scallop details! I dressed it up and toughened the look with a black leather jacket and patent ribbon bow flats.
It was just as well that my manicure I had done at J Nails right before I went to Sydney matched the playsuit perfectly. This is one of my favourite manicures done by far. It’s completely outgrown now but I still have them on cos’ I love the design too much!

Taking #OOTDs is obviously very tiring business. Sleep-posing, haha!
Happy weekend, lovelies!

#MBFWA

It’s been slightly over a week since I’ve been back from MBFWA in Sydney and I’m still reeling in excitement a little over the whole experience. Being backstage for the Michael Lo Sordo show (thank you, Skin Inc!) and watching all the behind the scenes action unfold in front of my eyes was an eye-opener. From seeing the models arrive, to them getting prepped and ready for runway – it was all rather chaotic.  So many people are involved to put a show together and before you know it, the show is over in about 20 minutes. All that prep work for 20 minutes!
It was so lovely getting to meet and chat with one of the designers, Michael Lo Sordo backstage. He was surprisingly really calm before the show. I can imagine that I’d be a bundle of nerves if I were in his shoes! Velda, my fashion-bunny companion throughout this trip and I even bumped into him at a The Grounds of Alexandria a couple of days later. What a nice coincidence.
The both of us people watched in between shows – it’s really fun to see so many people dressed up, took OOTDs for each other – I love the white playsuit that I’m wearing (thank you for dressing me for the shows, Miss Selfridge!), and did a pit stop at Bill’s Cafe at Surrey Hills to fuel up – the ricotta hotcakes are to die for. What fun. 🙂
