The Graceful Departure
The lights have dimmed,
and the curtain’s drawn.
My time is up,
and I shall go.
I take a final bow,
and exit the tunnel of darkness.
Into the light I stumble,
“Goodbye darkness, you will not be missed.”
Like a trapped bird released,
I am finally set free.
